BONUS POINT opportunity:
Each quarter students will be able to select from a list of volunteer opportunities to earn bonus points in my class.
2nd Quarter Community Service options:
Option A: Attend a School Board Meeting. Upcoming dates are Nov 19 & Dec 17 at 7pm at the district office.
Option B: Cell Phone Drive: To reduce the number of electronic components getting into landfills, we are collecting used cell phones. Must be turned in by Dec 20.
Option C: Be A Santa to a Senior: Mrs. Stutzman's students have adopted 100 low income Senior Citizens for the holiday season. Ornaments are in the classroom to be checked out. Items off the ornament need to be purchased and placed in a gift bag with a hand-made holiday card before Dec 4.
2nd Quarter Committee of Correspondence:
Meetings will be held during lunch. Watch for information on my class board if you are interested in sharing your opinion regarding school rules, procedures, and policies.
3rd Quarter Junior Achievement:
Meetings will be held during lunch. Watch for information on my class board if you are interested in participating and learning how the world of economics works. Students must attend at least 6 meetings to be selected for the all-day hands-on JA Workshop in Chesterfield, MO.
4th Quarter Illinois & U.S. Constitution:
We will study the Illinois & the U.S. Constitution and take the 8th grade Constitution Test.
