Mrs. Palmisano

Welcome to Mrs. Palmisano's 4th Grade Class! I am a graduate of SIU Edwardsville, with degrees in both Elementary and Special Education. My husband, Chris and I are blessed to have four wonderful children and one adorable grandson.  As a product of District 90, I know firsthand what an exceptional school district we have.  I count it an honor and a privilege to be teaching at Hinchcliffe Elementary.

Believing that every day is an opportunity for growth, I consider it a joy to see the excitement on a child's face when he discovers something new in my classroom!  My main goal as your child's teacher is to create an environment where he feels safe, cared for, and free to be himself. It is only in this environment that children thrive and have a desire to learn. As Ivan Walter Fitzwater once said, "The future of the world is in my classroom today." Since I believe that to be true, I look upon each of my students as a valuable asset. What they have to say matters, and how they feel at the end of a day matters as well.  In my classroom, mistakes are seen are mere opportunities for growth.  I spend a great deal of time creating a community and building a relationship with my students so they know they truly matter to me. In my classroom you will find students participating in group discussions, hands-on learning experiences, and engaging lessons.
