About Me

Hello! I am Mrs. Koonce and I am the school social worker for Evans Elementary. I have lived in the O'Fallon area since 2008 and have worked in several area schools. In 2021, I graduated from UMSL with my Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in school social work. My school social work internship was completed right here in District 90 and I am so happy to have been hired here for my first official social work job! 

As the social worker, my job is to provide support to children and families that may be struggling at home or at school. I work with all types of students on different topics, including grief, behavior, feelings, and many more. Together, we will work together to address your child's social, emotional, and behavior needs to help them be successful.

Some of my favorite hobbies are hiking, baking, and spending sunny afternoons reading a good book in my hammock. I love all things rainbows, animals, and Marvel! 

I live in Belleville with my husband and our two wonderful cats.
